Outsourced Accounting Manager/Controller (Part-Time)

The controller is accountable for the overall accounting operations of assigned clients.. The controller will manage the accounting systems and controls in place to ensure accurate and relevant accounting information and provide consulting and support to our entrepreneur/small business clients.

General Responsibilities:

• Do the extras – provide clients with unexpected service
• Consult with clients on business decisions in the areas of accounting, finance, and general business operations
• Complete Client Accounting Activities, including:
  • Invoicing and accounts receivable management
  • Accounts payable processing
  • Payroll - Onboarding of new employees, payroll processing, payroll tax filings
  • General ledger activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting
• Manage client cash flow (analysis and forecasting), assist client with cash flow decisions
• Develop client budgets and forecasts
• Follow and continuously develop Fortiviti processes and policies

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent experience)
• Progressive experience in accounting/finance – preferably in public accounting, a small business or entrepreneurial environment
• Strong interpersonal skills – you will talk with clients daily
• Desire for personal growth
